The Construction industry can be a scary place for anyone, especially those whom are not experienced in it. We have all heard stories of nightmare projects and people losing time and money. We have all seen the programmes or videos of nightmare builders and people being conned out of their hard earned cash. There are definitely conmen in the construction industry. Most of these conmen are not legitimate or legally allowed to carry out a number of construction works. But unless you know what to look for, it can be hard to tell the difference.
There are also many horror stories from both clients and contractors where legitimate projects and contractors have fallen out and the other labelled as a Nightmare Contractor/Client. In my experience this is rarely one sided and there are often many reasons for why relationships breakdown and disputes arise. The majority are usually involving delays and extra costs. Most of this is down to people not using communicating properly and having different expectations. This usually is a result of not employing the right professionals, not getting the correct support or advice and thinking construction is easy. It can be, but that comes with experience.
In case it is not yet apparent, Michelle's passion in life is EMPOWERMENT. She aims to leave every room, situation, relationship, business, property etc in a better way than she found it. She is passionate about educating people to make the best informed decisions and she is determined to protect as many good people as she can.
